The management of the Senden Berseri Waste Management Institution (LPS), together with Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia, the Semarang Regency DPRD, and the Semarang Regency Environmental Agency (DLH), inaugurated the Senden Berseri Processing House and Maggot Facility. The inauguration of the maggot house was attended by 56 invitees consisting of LPS Senden, TP-PKK, the Jatijajar Village Government, the Semarang Regency DLH
PEKALONGAN – To secure costal communities living space, BINTARI invites fishermen and shrimp farmers group to increase planting and maintenance of mangroves. The Mangrove planting and maintenance campaign was carried out from 4-9 November 2024 in Wonokerto Kulon, Pecakaran, Semut, Api-Api and Tratebang Villages. A total of 106 participants attended the campaigns representing village officials, fishermen, shrimp farmers, women leaders, and youth groups.
On November 13–14, 2024, the Climate Resilience Strengthening Program (PEKA IKLIM) conducted Climate Smart Fisheries training in Golo Sepang Village, Boleng Sub-district, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The activity aimed to strengthen the capacity of coastal communities in addressing the impacts of climate change through the development of mangrove crab aquaculture and the conservation of mangrove ecosystems.
SEMARANG – Dozens of fish pond and mangrove farmers attended the presentation of mangrove monitoring results and monitoring training in Semarang on Thursday (07/11/2024). The death of mangroves after being planted due to natural factors and human disturbances encouraged the community to get involved in monitoring the mangroves. The community showed their interest by forming a mangrove patrol team in each region.
Repi Village, where most residents depend on the agricultural sector for their livelihoods, is facing major challenges due to a decline in rice field productivity of up to 50% in recent years. Extreme weather and pest attacks have become the main factors threatening the sustainability of agricultural yields in the village.
